About Us
Peterborough Advanced Motorcyclists
PECAM
We are a group of motorcyclists affiliated to the Institute of Advanced Motorists. (IAM Group membership number 7249) The group is also a Registered Charity (No. 1110414)
The prime objectives of the group are to promote the improvement of riding standards and the advancement of road safety.
To that end..........
1. We use the abbreviation PECAM when referring to our group. We meet socially at The Cock Inn, Werrington every 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:30pm. Please feel free to join us.
During darker evenings guest speakers are invited and of late we have enjoyed presentations from MAGPAS, the East Anglian Air Ambulance who attend live crash scenes and from Starcom1 who manufacture bike communication systems. Plus many others.
2. We ride every second and fourth Sunday of the month (weather permitting) having gathered at the Tesco Car Park, Hampton Peterborough for a 09.30am getaway (10.00am in Winter when the clocks are set back). Rides are usually around three to four hours long with a welcome break for refreshments roughly mid way. Come join us for a ride and see what you think.
3. We provide free assessed rides to members of the public.
